A Clockwork Orange takes place in Britain in a futuristic time period. The main character is a fifteen year old boy named Alex. Him and his gang of friends are Dim, Gregie, and Pete. Everynight they go out to a place called Krovova Milkbar and order spiked milk. After the drugs kick in they raid the streets, beating and raping the innocent people. One day they decide to go to this rich old lady's house to rape and rob her. Alex decides to do this on his own, but it went horribly wrong. When the cops came his friends bailed on him and he was arrested.
Later they found out the old lady died from a heart attack because it was too much for her. After that Alex was convicted of murder and rape. After two years of being imprisoned he finds out about a program that will reduce his sentence.Alex takes this offer but has no idea what he got himself into. After being forced to watch gruesome videos for two weeks he is released.j When he gets back to what he used to call home everything changed. His parents moved on and got a room mate. Dim was a cop, and worked with a old enemy of Alex's. They both wanted revenge, so they took Alex out into the counry and beat him up. then left him to die but he managed to come up with enough strength to limp to a house with a sigh that said "Home". There he was cared for by the owner. He then finds out the guy that was showing him hospitality he once raped his wife and beat him up. Once Alex realized his life was so bad he tried to commit suicide b jumping out a window. His attempt to kill himself, but failed and instead broke almost every bone in his body. He was then rushed to the hospital. After he recovered fully he was back on the streets. Alex went back to his old self, he could be violent again. When he finds this out. He joins a gang again, but not the same one he was in when he got in trouble.
He goes back to his old self, beating and raping the innocent. He then runs into Pete, one of his old friends. He learns that he moved on and got married at nineteen. Listening to him he realized he was grown up and that he should too. At the end he has a kid and the book just ends.
